Adventures in toilet training

 Everything in it’s own time. Gosh how many things can this little saying apply to? However many ways it may relate to life in the adult world, I think it has a particular relevance for the lives of little ones. We are slap bang in the whirlwind and high drama that is toilet training. The human body is a miraculous thing really, connecting mind to body; crawling, walking, climbing, those little grey cells connecting intent to action.  And now for the really big step into the post-baby world, my little man is attempting to master control of his bodily functions. So for a few weeks now we’ve been asking if he wants to use the potty, multiple times a day, with the same resolute response “No!”  We’ve got a copy of Tom’s Toilet Challenge, which has been watched perhaps hundreds of times in the past six months (the first few times it really is quite challenging for the adult watcher, private as we are about this part of lives!).
